About Rodney Paulette

God has been good to Rodney Paulette.

Born and bred in Lufkin, Rodney married his sweetheart, Diane, nearly 46 years ago. They have two wonderful children together.

Rodney’s education prepared him for the business world and the job as your public servant.

First, an Associate Accounting Degree from Angelina College, then a Bachelor of Science Degree from McNeese State while he played college baseball, and a Master’s Degree in International Finance. He wants to stop the gross overspending of your hard-earned money.

At the age of 18, Rodney began working at Texas Foundry and rose to the job of President in 1989 when it was sold to the Citation Corporation. In 1994, he became Citation Corporation’s Executive Vice President, supervising eighteen engineers. By 1999, the company had one billion dollars in sales.

Today, Paulette is a principal owner of one of the most successful foundries in North and South America. The Mexican plant has over 650 employees.

This lifetime of experience and education in accounting, budgeting, finance and management has made Rodney uniquely qualified to help the taxpayers of Angelina County when they so desperately need help.

Why does this successful businessman want this political job? It is simple. Rodney wants to eliminate the graft, incompetence and conflicts of interest that have plagued this county for years.

Rodney has seen this all firsthand. He was appointed to serve on Angelina County Commissioners Court for 22 months. While on the court, Rodney voted to install the unit road system approved by voters to end the political games and favoritism that so guided who got new roads and who didn’t.

Today, Angelina County roads are more horrible than ever.

We need Rodney to put Angelina County on the Road to Reform.
